Last night I had an extremely emotional dream that I was embracing and reuniting with many of my grade school friends... in a department center.

What could this mean? One of the people I was so excited to see was Todd Witherby, a guy that I just recently became friends with on Facebook. His mom was like a second mother to me for eight years, volunteering so often to be a classroom mom!
Others that I was ecstatic to see in my dream was Jenny Finkie, Erica Gabriel, Todd's mother, and Todd's brother David.

Dreams are so insightful yet so complex at the same time...

MY MOM DID GOOD FOR EYE-DAS

A few days ago my aunt came into my job and told me about this fantastic charity she's now working with - more on the specific charity later. She's been retired for a few years and decided to lend her time... amazing!

When she was telling about her new work I couldn't help but remember the charity my mom did a lot of work with when she was here. When I got home I logged onto the computer and Googled them to find out more about then what I already knew. My aunt brought up EYE-DAS about a year ago when she ran into someone who clearly remembered and benefited from my mom's charity work with EYE-DAS. My mom used to make the necessary phone calls (as I recall it) to make sure EYE-DAS members had car rides to and from the meetings in their respective areas. No my mom wasn't blind but had good friends who were seeing-impaired so she decided to give some of her extra time to this well-deserving charity - SO BEAUTIFUL.

The synopsis of EYE-DAS is that they're "an organization dedicated to helping the visually impaired. Membership is open to any adult with impaired, partial, or no vision. Sighted individuals are welcome and can play an important role in providing resources and services to those who are not so fortunate. EYE-DAS has been serving the visually impaired community since 1975. We provide members with resources, ongoing education, current information, problem sharing and social activities in order to enable independence and to improve quality of life."

Last night I attended Joe Siyam's birthday party at the new bar Rockwell in Los Feliz. I'm not sure how many people he had in attendance but I am sure that the upstairs bar was divided down the middle of half gay and half straight patronage for a Saturday evening. The bar in itself is for the most part a comfortable, zero attitude straight bar - far from the drama or attitude that you are accustomed to seeing on Hollywood Boulevard - don't we hate those clubs anyways?

Rockwell was instead filled with fun, friendly people searching for a posh environment which serves up inexpensive, tasty drinks from tasty bartenders!

Would I go back? YES.

Would I recommend it? YES.

When do I see myself going back? Not anytime soon - just being honest. It was a place that was so cute, reminding me of Magnolia in Pasadena, but a tad bigger (LOL).

THANKS to the Internet blogger for posting this pictures so that I could use it too! I decided to incorporate this photo in my posting about how the Dodgers swept the series between my HOMETOWN team and the St. Louis Cardinals (3-0). Not only does this photo provide a taste of nostalgia to all the hardcore Los Angelenos who are hungry for a victor in 2009, but this authentic newspaper clipping also provides a bit of foreshadowing of what I think will be a victorious season for the Dodgers.

If you missed the game yesterday then you missed a game that was virtually flawless, void of any major mistakes and giving Eithier just one more notch on his belt to being MVP for the Dodgers. Do you agree? The next game will be played on Thursday, and although I cannot attend because of work commitments I will be there in spirit! As to whom they will play is still undecided, what we do know is that its between the Rockies or the Phillies.

Congratulations to the entire team for taking the St. Louis Cardinals on their home turf, sending loyal fans dressed head to toe in red hats, jerseys and rally towels home with nothing to gloat, brag or hold their head high about!

Why the hell would I enjoy seeing a movie called 'Zombieland,' right? After I got back from the fun pool party with T.J. and Chris over at Chad & Eric's house, my buddy John Magnum asked me out on a friendship date to see the movie 'Zombieland.' Now if anyone else would have asked me to see this movie I would have defiantly said NO, however he's only in town for a few days and he's one of those cute str8 boys that you wanna hangout with because he's so charming - so I went to see 'Zombieland,' and ENJOYED IT!!! First off I had no idea it starred Woody Harrelson, Abigail Breslin and had a hilarious cameo from Bill Murray - yes, this movie is a B-, just for the simple fact that it's fun, doesn't take it self too seriously but the actors are not cheesy and too annoying. I didn't get John's take on the movie but I liked it.

FOLSOM: DAY 1

As most of you know I've spent the weekend in San Francisco all apart of the annual tradition which us gays call Folsom Street Fair. In a nut shell it's a festival for EVERYONE that would like to explore their deviant side - and yes it's good to let it outta the bag sometimes and be a little freaky!!

Ashley and I arrived on Friday night and immediately high-tailed it to the party hosted by Sister Roma and DJ LaRue. When I get to SF I always need to see Roma so I made it a priority to stop by and pay my respects. LaRue and I aren't on that great of terms - I'm lucky if she smiles at me so I try to keep my distance yet still remain polite enough. It frustrates me that we used to be so civil and friendly to one another and now all I get is coldness from her. While I'm not blaming Jason Sechrest, after-all we all make our own decisions in life, but since she re-became friends things have not been the same. Jason and I are slowly starting to become civil with each other and I think coffee or lunch is in order to hash some issues out but with LaRue I think the damage is done and she wouldn't even want to break bread with me - not a big deal, but it sucks that we have become so estranged all due to dumb circumstances or whatever it may be.

Anyway, her party featured all the porn stars that are in the scene now but unfortunately I didn't have much fun because I was sober all all hell and the space just wasn't that great. Usually when I think of a Chi Chi party it has an amazing space, like the End Up - not so much with the Triple Crown Bar on Market Street. DJ Chi Chi always spins great music. It's funny, either you love her style or you hate her style - she isn't a trained professional deejay and she owns up to it, however she does spin some great shit and that's why people love her deejay talents!

It was a fun night overall and I hope they move that party back to End Up next year - much better space!

Depeche Mode - Hole To Feed
I don't know what to think about this video to be honest. I almost lost my Subway sandwich when I saw the people tonguing throughout the entire video - especially with the mustard *belch*! I have this thing about kissing with the tongue - especially if the person doesn't know what they're doing! So yah, watch this movie with caution and if it takes a few times before you finish it I completely understand!

GOSSIP. I am starting to become obsessed with this band - their first couple albums were very garage band-esque but with their new album "MUSIC FOR MEN" it is over-produced (in a good way) and just sounds so much cleaner.
I know hardcore fans don't appreciate the new, cleaner sound but I do - I feel like they are challenging themselves and are progressing as artists. You agree? Anyway, they will be at The Fonda on October 26th in support of their new album - I say go buy it!!!

CLASSIC TELEVISION

Lately I've been watching a lot of Bonanza on TV LAND. Actually, to tell the truth, I have been setting my DVR to tape all the episodes, I probably have only seen a handful of episodes - and I don't mind, it's amazing to watch this kind of classic television! It's amazing that the show lasted 14 seasons on the NBC network.

I have no idea what attracted me to the show - on Sunday I was getting ready for work and the show happened to be on.
The episode was a nail biter and got me hooked instantly, I suppose if I would have caught a weak episode I wouldn't have ever given the television show a second look but this wasn't the case.

Anyone else like Bonanza or obscure television shows that you feel no one likes except for you?

My brother doesn't think this is necessarily the wisest - or masculine costume for a pit bull but I think it fits JJ quite nicely.
My intention is to also dress PD (the dog formally known as PT or Johnny Hazzard's dog) as a bumblebee too! It's a cute costume and I think they will be so adorable especially if Johnny and I go as either a bee's honeycomb and a bottle of honey - SOOO CUTE!

Of course I need to talk with Johnny Hazzard over this but if he agrees we will have a blast, wish me luck!

Today I visited Blacks Beach with James - yah, it was a bit weird but I have done nude resorts before *straight* so it wasnt too weird. We only stayed an hour but we got naked and had a good conversation on the beach - overall I am glad that we were able to spend the day together!!!

ANNIVERSARY

Today, September 1, 2009, is the fifth anniversary of my mom passing from this earth. Last week my friend Alex lost his mother and eight months ago my friend Angela lost her mother. We all will lose our parents - this is a reality that many don't want to face but it's truth.

While my mother is gone her memory lives on and I can laugh and smile about her life than cry about her death - which seems appropriate, why cry about her being gone when you can celebrate the 60-something years she lived (mom, don't worry, I won't out your age - but she was born in 1939)! I, like we all do have memories of our mom that will stand the test of time - what an amazing mother she was and I love thinking about her.

I dedicate the following song to this day and to others that have or will go through the same thing....

Tonight a bunch of the IN crowd *scoff* from the INDUSTRY made the short journey to North Hollywood/Van Nuys to the home of Jett Blakk for some homemade pizza, sweet treats and a scary movie 'Hatchet.' The pizza and movie were both amazing and watching the creepy/funny movie in the hot tub was even better - some people were even naked - hint, hint: Wolf Hudson!

Last night, Monday, at work I encountered some real characters - to put it politely! For those who have never been a server or worked in the food industry, listen up and take not that your server is not a person that is there so you can unload your problems of the day on, nor is your server the kind of person that you can talk down to, knowing that we cannot respond back to you. Yes, sometimes customers believe that just because they are in power of the TIP FACTOR they can talk any kind of shit to their server - TOTALLY WRONG!!!

I will not go into details because by next week, actually by the end of the day, yesterday will be forgotten but I thought I would drop by and let you know about servers and how they should be treated. OH, and if your server is a douche than by all means pull them aside and let the manager know - that is understandable!!!

DAY AT THE JUNCTION

Today my body is a corpse after the 29th Annual Sunset Junction Festival in Silverlake!

I describe the festival as the final hoorah of summer time, after the festival closes you know that school will be back in session in a week and that the weather will slowly start to shift. On Sunday I took Ludovic Canot with his friend Phillipe to the festival, since they are from Paris I thought it would be good for them to see the festival - turns out Ludovic enjoyed his time after he thew back a few beers but Phillipe bailed after the first hour, I felt extremely bad because he left without saying anything and he took a taxi home and he payed for me to get into the festival - I wish he would have let me know! =(

Although we were originally supposed to hang out with Eric, Will Ovalle, Cruz and his friend who was visiting from Paris, we ended up frolicking around with Cruz, his Parisian friend, Kevin Horn and Dennis Sooney. We had a blast seeing Morris Day and the Time and Arrested Development. I saw AD back in 1993 at Lollapalooza when it was a touring act in the 90s! Arrested Development is still as energetic as they were 15 years ago, although their lineup has changed a tad.

Overall the day was filled with many beers and lots of new and old friends - what a blast. I believe Ludovic had a great time too, for me it was nice hanging out with him and also being able to have so much fun with Cruz. Cruz and I are like war buddies - we have been though it all together and has only made us stronger friends - I am so happy that we are friends again! Stay tuned for pictures of the festival, as soon as Dennis and Ludovic send me them I will share!

Last night I went on a date - at least I think it was a date. I met the guy briefly last Sunday at the Fautline right before the Depeche Mode show at the Hollywood Bowl. Eric and I were on our way out and the guy, James, and his friend were hanging out about ready to leave - funny that I didn't noticed him before. We briefly spoke and exchanged numbers and we were on our way to the show - the show details later... pretty fun but we were pretty drunk!

This week James and I chatted on Wednesday and made plans to hang out on Friday, likely grabbing a drink at The Eagle. I had been invited to a Hollywood party, benefiting ALS, which was sponsored by my good friend Nancy O'Dell and the WWE (yes, the wrestling association). I invited James on Friday afternoon but it seemed as if he had other plans later on in the night. At first I was a bit disappointed but in hinesight it was probably better off that he didn't attend the party with me because of how packed and loud it was - there would have been no way to get to know him and have fun as we did at The Eagle. If you know me then you are aware that Eagle is my stomping ground, the bar is a great place to hangout and just have a beer - and while I had never been there on Friday (at six p.m.) it had enough people there taking advantage of their Friday Happy Hour! I arrived on time and waited for the stud to get there, I think he arrived 20 minutes later than I did and admittedly I thought I was being stood up. I was texting back and forth to my friend Peter Laska that I think I was going to be having a drink by myself - but that wasn't the case. Hanging out with him for a solid two hours, James convinced me to play pool. Okay, this boy doesn't know anything about playing pool. I used to watch Moses play pool a lot in Long Beach so I know the basic rules of the game, but hitting the ball with that oversized stick always intimidated me. To make an already long story a tad bit shorter I picked up the stick and played a solid game of pool with James. James and his friend Paulo argued on the correct way for me to hold the stick but when the game was all said and done I lost, but gained a tremendous amount of experience and humility! I was extremely nervous playing pool in front of a bar full of people that I felt were all glaring at me, watching and waiting for me to either hit the ball in the corner pocket or to miss the ball and humiliate myself - I think the latter happened more to be honest. After the first few whacks I became more comfortable with the pool table and found myself having fun, actually enjoying the game and not worrying about what other people were thinking. James was a stud date and a stud teacher.

After the game we all played a few games of The Simpsons pinball game and then decided to go hunt for a LA WEEKLY - we would've found it sooner but he didn't take my advice on where to pick one up - no worries, it was more time to hang with him
and get to know who he is. So far we have a lot in common, especially music!

I hope there is a second date.... gym time! Talk later.... xoxoxo

Last night while driving to COCKTAILS WITH THE STARS I discovered that Erik Rhodes also loves Nine Inch Nails as well as Depeche Mode and many other bands that I am interested in. Amazing that now I know François Sagat and Damien Crosse also share my same interests in music howevernone of these fuckers live in my neighborhood! Erik Rhodes is a cool cat - the guy has great taste in music, loves to party and is str8 up - no bullshit. If you have a chance please read his blog, he hasn't updated it in a few months but nevertheless it's pretty engaging and heartfelt!

Last night at Micky's was fabulous. It was the first time in six years I did drag and it was so great to hangout with the bartenders/staff in a fun environment - in drag at that!
I have to give it up to Mayham and Morgan for getting me in drag and looking fabulous. At the end of the night I didn't want to take off my makeup - I kept looking in the mirror and snapping pictures of myself - yes, I was fabulous. It isn't too often that a *butch* boy like me completely shaves my face and puts on a drag show. If you can't tell I did Cyndi Lauper and sang 'I Drove All Night.' I didn't bring my camera into the show but a lot of people took pictures - stay tuned!!!!

Last night I attended Jett Blakk's birthday party in Van Nuys at his beautiful estate that has a complete horror movie theme to it. From masks to vintage posters the house was amazing - oh, did I mention he had two pinball machines? Yes, The Simpsons pinball machine and Gilligans Island - although I was disappointed that he didnt have the The Twilight Zone pinball machine!!! I got out of work WAY TOO LATE - so by the time I got to the party it was winding down a bit but I did get a chance to speak with a lot of people from the industry and meet some new people. Lucky Daniels and Dominik Rider were serving up food and drinks while Shane Risk did a 30 minute melodic guitar concert with some really great songs. Overall the party was amazing because everyone there I actually LOVE and I didn't have to be fake - all smiles were genuine! One of the high lights of the party was relaxing in his hot tub outside while watching the classic movie Faster Pussycat! Kill Kill!

MY (13 YEAR LATER) HIGH SCHOOL LETTER

Mr. Segal....

Wow, it has been so many years - 13 years exactly. I have to say that there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you or the student named Chris Hunt. After all these years I never have found him but always wondered where he ended up.

The main reason why I think about you everyday is because it is quite haunting the impression that teachers make on you when you are so young - like I was at 15 years old and living in the closet or just confused as fuck - LOL. I can remember countless times in your drama/english class where you would often perform the stereotypical gay lisp and it would get a chuckle out of everyone in class - I can even remember kids would copy you out of class - to them it was a funny joke and hell even sometimes I would laugh it off but it was a serious mind fuck for me that sent me deeper into the closet and ashamed of who I was. Now when someone does the lisp or a gay imitation I laugh and have the confidence to speak up if it offends me, however as a 15 year old kid everyday in high school was survival and putting a happy face on was mandatory.

Chris Hunt, the student I mentioned, was my classmate that numerous times would call me FLAMER, QUEER and things like that in your English fifth period class and in Mr. Hooven's class (third period I think). Funny how 13 years later I can remember the words, the period and the occurrences and how I felt. I can remember Mr. Hooven and you would tell the class to shush or quickly change the topic, nothing was done and I don't think you as teachers were trained to deal with a student bullying someone based on names like QUEER and FLAMER. Surely I would never speak up, I had no confidence and at 15 years old survival and having friends was more important to me than defending what I thought I might be - a queer or a flamer.

I know that using such lisps - even if you are a drama teacher is not encouraged these days and if you still do use them you will think twice. I have been contemplating writing this email for about a week now but realized I must do it to regain my piece of mind and move on from something that has bothered me for over a decade.

These days I am extremely comfortable with who I am and the only ill feelings I harbor against you is not casting me - a closeted gay male, in one of your plays. Damn it, I always wanted to be in those plays you had - I was so jealous and figured I would be cast on my so-called actions that were obvious to some.

Thanks for reading this email and taking the time! I hope all is well and YES i can still remember being in the front row of your class the first day you quit smoking COLD TURKEY. Everyday we would count - the days would increase and so did your anxiety!

MY DRAMA TEACHER RESPONDED....

Dear Scott,

I am so sorry you felt the way you did in my class. To be honest, I really don't think about things like that because, at least these days, it's just one of dozens of voices I do in my classes. My students know that I poke fun at everyone because I love them and it makes class interesting. You must admit not all gay men talk that way but some do, no different than when I talk with a Southern accent. Not all people in the South talk that way, but some do.

As far as being in the plays, how many did you audition for? Because I am always on the lookout for guys as they're scarce in my program. If you did audition, it certainly wasn't your sexual orientation that was the reason you weren't cast as many of my actors are gay or lesbian. We also did a production of The Laramie Project a few years back and the district was very supportive.

To be honest, I don't even remember Chris Hunt, but I do know what it is liked to be bullied. From 6th to 11th grade, I was bullied for being short, Jewish, whatever. I still remember the guys that did it and I wouldn't be friends with them even today on Facebook. The wounds do stay with you and are for life. Regarding your hazing in my class, either I was too inexperienced (Not an excuse) or I was unaware that the name calling was serious. If you don't tell someone, how are they to know?

I'm sorry high school was so difficult for you and that I didn't help and, in fact, made it worse. Keep in mind that I do remember you fondly. You always had a smile and a kind word and I did consider you one of my more personable, fun students.

I'm glad things are better for you now and I wish you the best in the future.

I saw this on Perez Hilton today and I am so blown away by what these inmates can do. When you think about it, if these performers could have put their new found talent to good use before they were sentenced to do time then they might have avoided prison entirely. I wonder if these dance routines inspire change and almost a sort of psycho therapy?

On a similar note last week when I was driving up to the camp ground with Eduardo, he being born in the Phillipines told me that the gay culture is more heavily integrated into mainstream culture - especially with feminine guys. Eduardo told me that his father would always get his haircut by men only and it was widely known that all the men who cut hair and perform similar services were gay and did the best job. He also said that for gay men that were more masculine it was a lot harder to blend into the gay scene even though it was probably easier to live life because of the masculinity they had.

I also learned that the Phillipines has 20 spoken languages in the country and although Tagalog is the national language it is not the most widely spoken - very interesting!!!!

NO H8 CAMPAIGN SPREADS TO XXX COMMUNITY

(West Hollywood, Ca) -- Columnist and host, Scotty B, alongside NickYoungXXX, Randy Blue, Jet Set, and Odyssey Publications have all set out to get the adult community to stand up against H8!

On Wednesday, July 15th, photographer and creator of the NO H8 campaign, Adam Bouska will be hosting an all day photo shoot from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at his studio in North Hollywood, Ca. The now infamous photos can be viewed on the NO H8 Campaign site (www.noh8campaign.com) and is an attempt to bring a brighter light to fight for equality. While receiving over 400 submissions from people around the world giving their interpretation of Bouska's image, he is proud to have shot over 800 activists including Fran Drescher, Debbie Gibson, Megan McCain, Tatyana Ali, Blake Lewis, Perez HIlton, Ashlee SImpson, Pete Wentz, Playmate Rachel Sterling Tara Reid, and porn director Chi Chi LaRue.

"The adult community has huge influence over mainstream gay culture and if they can help with this nobel cause than I think it is a cause we should help promote," says Scotty B.

While the images are now being used for a viral/grassroot outreach on Facebook.com and other social sites, eventually they are expected to be compiled for a billboard campaign as well as multiple spreads.

Adam Bouska says that all you need to bring is a plain white v-neck/t-shirt, and they will take care of the painting/temporary tattooing the "NO H8" logo on your cheek.

In order to keep up with the demand of the photos, they are asking for a minimal donation of $25 from each participant per individual portrait to help out with our mounting costs as of July 1st. Group/couple photos can also be purchased at an additional $25 per finished photo (not per person). Children 12 and Under will continue to be photographed free of charge.

These fees help afford the time and resources to continue working on the campaign and making sure everyone gets a chance to take a photo. It will also help make plans in the future to take the NO H8 Campaign to other cities!

After 1 month, 15 days and 12 hours I now have an iPhone again. Thanks to my friend Frank he let me buy his iPhone off of him so he could upgrade to the new model: iPhone 3GS. At first I really wanted this phone but after I got to thinking about it I realized I just really wanted an iPhone again - how did we live without before it was even an invention? The new iPhone is pretty amazing: fast, new gadgets and even video - but I can wait until next year. The think that disappointed me the most about the new iPHone is that there is no new design, it is identical to its predecessor! I also think that there should have been so more upgrades besides just video and voice recognition. Am i being too picky? WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Those are the four words to best describe my show at Micky's. Yes, last night was Cocktails with the Stars and I have to say that I was VERY impressed with Spencer Reed, our guest for the evening.

Spencer is a young man that I met a few months ago at the GAYVNs in San Francisco. The story is as old but I saw him being tied up, flogged and spanked - usually this does nothing for me but I not only did I feel like giving this guy a hug because he seemed so likable I also wanted to go spank him too because his little butt was so adorable and red *wink*. We were drinking and I believe I made a move on him but he totally turned me down. This morning it was all so clear. For the last few weeks I've been in a weird cloudy mood in the a.m. and in a rut.
This morning I managed to drag myself out of bed after Johnny Hazzard woke me up outta a sound sleep. My phone

If you have some historical time to spend in the next few days I highly suggest you get yourself over to The Huntington Library to view the Abraham Lincoln exhibit.

Today Moses, Topher and I went to the botanical gardens and library to see the new updates to the museum/library and the exhibition of Lincoln. The Library has been a staple in my life since I was a child but it was Moses' first time there so
I tried to impress him and show him as much as I could, needless to say the place does well on its own impressing people. The Huntington Library is a beautiful grounds that features: lush Asian, Japanese, Rose, Desert, and SubTropical gardens. Overall the Lincoln exhibit intrigued me because of the historical aspects and the huge ways he changed our country - both legally and with dealing with laws and how they were governed.

Two of the most interesting pictures I saw were the ones you see above. The first is the WANTED poster that calls for the capture of the three men accused of assassinating Lincoln. The other is a rare photo of Abraham Lincoln, actually it is the most earliest picture ever taken of our President.

On Friday, April 23 my all-time favorite group, Depeche Mode, played Jimmy Kimmel. Wait, wait, wait... let me clarify something. Five bands every week play Kimmel - no big deal. Smaller bands with a small fan base usually perform in Jimmy's intimate indoor concert theatre, at most it fits in about 100/200 people - yah, not too big. There is also the other outdoor arena concert called the Pontiac Garage. Much bigger than the indoor theatre, the Pontiac Garage easily fits one thousand people if properly crammed in, in fact I've seen Dave Gahan, lead singer of Mode, perform on this stage numerous years ago! But when Depeche Mode comes to town what to do? If you are the new and upcoming W Hotel in Hollywood you partner with Jimmy Kimmel and erect a huge stage on Hollywood Boulevard stretching four LA city blocks and host a party that would almost seem like Times Square! Depeche Mode attracted a crowd of an estimated 10,000 people *some papers say that 14,000 people could have been present but I doubt that*.

Eric and I had been planning on spending the night on the Boulevard but decided not to when I found out that my tickets would not get me front row - instead media tickets in the media bullpen about 150 yards back. Needless to say it was bitter sweet to know that we would not have to endure the cold night but would also not be able to see the band up close like we planned. *insert sad face here* Overall the day went pretty fast and I was also blessed to spend time with Lisa and Tumara - two people I've known forever... I wish Karen and Laura could have been there!

To make a long story short the band too the stage and rocked the boulevard - what an unforgettable night!!! Eric and I had an amazing time and I'll never forget it for as long as I live! I Check out this story from Access Hollywood. Below is a clip of their final song 'Never Let Me Down' the crowd downs the hand sway with Gahan. It's hard to hear but the site of 10,000 people swaying their hands together in unison is pretty remarkable!

I don't log onto Brandon Baker's page as much as I should anymore. When I used to work at Cybersocket I'd log onto PartywithBrandon almost daily - and with content like this it shows why Brandon's site has lasted so long!
