DAY AT THE JUNCTION

Today my body is a corpse after the 29th Annual Sunset Junction Festival in Silverlake!

I describe the festival as the final hoorah of summer time, after the festival closes you know that school will be back in session in a week and that the weather will slowly start to shift. On Sunday I took Ludovic Canot with his friend Phillipe to the festival, since they are from Paris I thought it would be good for them to see the festival - turns out Ludovic enjoyed his time after he thew back a few beers but Phillipe bailed after the first hour, I felt extremely bad because he left without saying anything and he took a taxi home and he payed for me to get into the festival - I wish he would have let me know! =(

Although we were originally supposed to hang out with Eric, Will Ovalle, Cruz and his friend who was visiting from Paris, we ended up frolicking around with Cruz, his Parisian friend, Kevin Horn and Dennis Sooney. We had a blast seeing Morris Day and the Time and Arrested Development. I saw AD back in 1993 at Lollapalooza when it was a touring act in the 90s! Arrested Development is still as energetic as they were 15 years ago, although their lineup has changed a tad.

Overall the day was filled with many beers and lots of new and old friends - what a blast. I believe Ludovic had a great time too, for me it was nice hanging out with him and also being able to have so much fun with Cruz. Cruz and I are like war buddies - we have been though it all together and has only made us stronger friends - I am so happy that we are friends again! C+ on KOGI

Last Thursday I received the text from Mo that the now infamous taco/Korean BBQ truck was making a stop in SIlverlake. Reading all the hype of Kogi I expected it to be AMAZING, however aside from the sliders the food was lackluster and disappointing. Topher and Moses loved it while Sagat and I agreed that it was less than satisfying.

MEET RACK

I have to give myself props when I see fit and last night I looked extremely hot. Sound too conceited? I hope not because I would never bestow such a compliment on myself unless I saw fit - and last night was that kind of a night. Yes I was at Eagle, not the hottest guys usually frequent there, however tonight, for some reason there were so many hot studs there that I would have considered taking home.

Tj, Chris, myself, and their friend from Seattle, Troy, ventured out to the Silverlake to first enjoy dinner at a new restaurant called Desert Rose, and then jump over to Eagle for their twice monthly club called 'Meat Rack.' The restaurant was pretty amazing - the wine list is elaborate (two points) and the menu is not too extensive (we like that.. too many choices just confuses us). We admired the fact that we had numerous people come check on us throughout the night - extra attention is always nice, it makes you feel warm and welcome, even if you don't need anything.

We hurried to The Eagle to miss the line and meet Cruz - however Cruz ended up calling in sick, so he took a raincheck! The Eagle was decorated festively with shamrocks that looked like penis': just imagine two of the side leaves to look like testis and the middle leaf protruding to look very *clearing throat* phalic. Sorry, that's the best I can do with that description.

At the Eagle we saw pretty much everyone: Moses, Derrick, Topher, Frank, Stefano, Ryan, Steve, Dean, Jeremy Lucido, Marcos, Jason Ridge.... to name a few.

An incident happened midnight that made me nearly throw up so I had to jet and leave the club, but the three hours I was there was extremely fun and I was a hottie there, everyone seemed to like my shirt and the way I looked - PROUD OF MYSELF!

VOLUNTEER WITH ME... PLEASE!!!

On Monday afternoon I met up with Derrick at The Faultline to take advantage of cheap beer - why the hell not? Since I got there 30 minutes before Derrick I decided to find someone to talk to. I scanned the room the selected the "NO ON PROP. 8" people, they seemed nice and normal. I got into conversation hoping to leave with a sign to display on my front lawn, I left with an appointment to volunteer on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., convincing swing voters to VOTE AGAINST PROPOSITION 8!.
