YOUTUBE TALENT

I saw this on Perez Hilton today and I am so blown away by what these inmates can do. When you think about it, if these performers could have put their new found talent to good use before they were sentenced to do time then they might have avoided prison entirely. I wonder if these dance routines inspire change and almost a sort of psycho therapy?

On a similar note last week when I was driving up to the camp ground with Eduardo, he being born in the Phillipines told me that the gay culture is more heavily integrated into mainstream culture - especially with feminine guys. Eduardo told me that his father would always get his haircut by men only and it was widely known that all the men who cut hair and perform similar services were gay and did the best job. He also said that for gay men that were more masculine it was a lot harder to blend into the gay scene even though it was probably easier to live life because of the masculinity they had.

I also learned that the Phillipines has 20 spoken languages in the country and although Tagalog is the national language it is not the most widely spoken - very interesting!!!!

GAGA IN REVIEW

Last night I had the pleasure to accompany my best friend Joe to the Lady GaGa concert at The WIltern theater. Attempting to be uber urban I took the train there. I could never turn down free tickets and I was honored that he picked me out of all the gays that know and love him and Lady GaGa! Lady GaGa, it sounds very proper doesn't it? I love saying it! This is her first headlining tour and along with her she brought the band'The White Tie Affair, ' they just so happen to be one of Joe's favorite bands! The show was over-the-top phenomenal. Joe's band was pretty good, I have to admit that. The lead singer had a great stage presence and it made the music sound that much better. They do sound like a lot of bands out there today so I'm not sure that will get them very far, but I think the two things they do have going for them that will (hopefuly) get them on the radio is their drive and personality - good luck!

Now Lady GaGa was an experience all on its own, in fact I think half of West Hollywood was there to support her, I think you could count how many str8 guys there were to see her on one hand. GaGa also brought out the stars, and not porn stars, I mean Hollywood stars. We say Raven-Symone ( that made my night) and Perez Hilton. There were rumors that Kanye West was there, some rapper by the name of Lil' John(?), plus Diddy, Kelly Osborne, Mika, and a few others.

Anywho, the show was amazing and her energy was spectacular. We happened to meet these three crazy peeps from Los Angeles... names escape me except for Todd, he celebrated his birthday the day before. Todd was a bit drunk and when we bumped into him later at The Abbey it seemed as if he still wasn't calm. Todd and his friends were crazy cool and even introduced me to a cute, str8-ish, porn star - don't worry I have his MySpace *wink*!

Check out GaGa's opening number below, she kicked it off with a very abstract intro that not only shows how many layers GaGa has but how smart she is. Somehow, watching the short film I can tell that it was most likely her concept or she had a role in it - she's smart like that! I think GaGa is taking over the world and with Perez Hilton giving her the new princess of pop crown I think there's no dispute that Britney better watch her back *wink*!

IT'S A RECORD

It's a record, and I'm not complaining! This week Perez Hilton has managed to mention Depeche Mode twice, his most recent posting is about Depeche Mode is the first band to premiere what is called the iTunes Pass. His post was a fair one and didn't speak ill of the band that's been around for 30 years . i say this because for the past two weeks he has done nothing but trash the new U2 album *hahahahaha*. His first post for Depeche Mode this week was debuting their new video for 'Wrong,' and all-in-all, all but two or three people loved the song and the video - that's a good thing!

DEPECHE MODE REIGNS ON PEREZ!!!

SPACEMAN

For a quick minute forget that The Killers lead singer Brandon Flowers is a mormon and most likely disapproves of gay marriage - actually we give him the benefit of the doubt. The band just released their new video for their next single 'Spaceman,' and Mr. Flowers looks so friggin' HOT!!! Over the last year he has undergone a fantastic makeover and it's impressive. What do you
think of the new look in this vid? Call me crazy but doesn't he look a little like Shia LeBeouf?

APPLE GOOD, MICROSOFT BAD

I love that in the midst of a depression Apple is still doing well and Microsoft is hurting. Well, I'm not thrilled that Microsoft is hurting, I don't want anyone to lose their job but I am ecstatic that Apple is thriving!

THANKS TO PEREZ FOR SUPPLYING THE CLIPS AND THE RELATED NEWS ARTICLES...

PERSONAL JESUS

Who does it better: Jamelis verus Hilary? Isn't it obvious that Hilary tried way too hard and Depeche Mode said they really had no choice, I wonder how much Hilary Duff paid for this shiteous song? Jamelia's is at least creative and holds up to the original. Which one do you prefer?

JOIN THE IMPACT: WRAP UP AND THOUGHTS!!!

It's been a little over 24 hours since the Join the Impact rally took place. I decided to hold off and give this blog posting at least a 24 hour thought process before I put anything down in words - some might say this is a good approach, while others could argue that I might lose some essential details - well this is my approach!

The 'ITalian' and I arrived at 9:30 and City Hall as well as All Saints Church was DESOLATE - there was NO ONE around... I was so worried that it would be five people protesting - the cops outweighing the protestors, that wouldn't be good, LOL! Thankfully people started coming: by pairs, and groups of three's, fives, and then by droves! Carrying signs, their children and passion, all of the people standing in front of Pasadena City Hall had a story to tell and a personal reason for being there! I have to hand it to my boyfriend, he was SOO AMAZING this week. He hardly whimpered at my attention being totally devoted to this project, and yesterday he didn't complain that I wasn't focusing on him - instead he let me be and do my thing, he was okay on his own with my brother, Moses, Abdullah and Rob (my roomie). When 10:30 rolled around there were hundreds of people and as I spoke to the crowd people kept flocking to the event. The Pasadena Star News (the link is to the story written by reporter Brian Day) says that the event had at least 300 people there, while others have said it was between 500-700 people, thoughts on that anyone???

There were numerous speakers yesterday - too many to name and I'm sorry if I don't mention all of you but I have to say that the one that made me tear up and feel why I was there was the speaker named Scott Boardman - I'M JUST KIDDING! In all honesty Pastor Zelda Kennedy from All Saints Episcopal Church located directly behind Pasadena City Hall gave a memorable and pertinent speech that made us all think of what civil rights are. The most important thing she said was that she has seen discrimination in her life, she knows what it looks like and Proposition 8's passage is just that. She took us on a stroll down memory lane when she had to ride in the back of the bus and (either her or her friend - or both) had to deal with water sprays and police dogs unleashed on her because of the color of her skin - her speech gave me goosebumps and I wish I would have recorded it. (Photo courtesy of Pasadena Star News. Staff Photo by Sarah Reingewirtz)

I also have to say that the Pasadena Police was amazing in their efforts to keep the Free Speech Rally peaceful and on task - Veronica Burris in particular was the only visible police officer that I saw who was patrolling the area and took the time to come up to us, introduce herself and tell us what we could and could not do. I think the Church can attest to her professionalism, efficiency and fairness led to our protest moving along that much more smoothly - THANK YOU OFFICER BURRIS!!! If you can please call:
(626) 744-4501, and compliment this officer - seldom, if at all, does the police department receive positive feedback and this officer deserves it. I found out that she was in fact working overtime and should have been home, I think we all know how much it's a downer when you'd rather be elsewhere than working - what an amazing officer!

After the rally hundreds of protestors took to the sidewalks of Old Town Pasadena to spread their message of the discrimination within Proposition 8. We met up with the group for the last blocks but I can attest to the four to five blocks that the marchers stretched - it was incredible!

Also, a major thank you to Perez HIlton for compiling some of the YouTube links from yesterday's rally - EVEN IF HE DIDN'T CHOOSE TO COME TO OURS *wink*!! You can see all of the rally's on YouTube via Perez's page or by logging onto YouTube!!!

So I was looking around to see if I could find pictures of the rally because I wanted to see what I, unfortunately, missed. And I thought I'd share them with you in case you haven't seen them. If you have any please send them to me and I will add them... but in the meantime enjoy!!!!

DAILY DOSE VOL 1:03

band/artist: LADY GAGA
song: POKER FACE

When I hear an artist that kicks major butt I get so excited - enter Lady GaGa!! Perez HIlton touted her album to be like the next coming of Christ, and he was correct.

I am picking the song "Poker Face" as my PICK O' THE DAY because the song has a different feel than her breakthrough song "Just Dance," and I think an overall better produced song: more dynamic, better thought out, hard-hitting if you will.

I wish I could show the video but YouTube prevents me so I can only let you hear the song. If you need to see the glorious video before you buy the song its available on iTunes for purchase or on YouTube for free viewing. No matter what you do go to iTunes and buy her new album 'The Fame,' you won't regret it... TRUST ME. I really can't say anything else about Lady GaGa except you will be seeing more of this 21 year old diva - doesn't she look like she is in her 30's? Either way she's fierce, and Scott doesn't use the word FIERCE very often *wink*!

WEDNESDAY, ALL DAY!

I have been procrastinating all day long on when/if I will go to the gym today. I have some errands to run but for some reason staying at home sounds so much better than driving to Pasadena to go to the gym - man I wish Bally Total Fitness would build a gym in Monrovia, that'd be amazing!

This past week has been probably the most stressful week that I've had in a long while. Besides all the bad shit that has gone on in the past week there has been some awesome stuff - including Micky's nightclub meetings have officially resumed and we will be starting to *seriously* talk about the nightclubs future, Cocktails with the Stars, and other endeavors revolving around the bar. There is not much I can tell you but I can say this is going to be a totally DIFFERENT porn show and blow all others left away... it will really be amazing!

Months before the club burned to the ground the major thing I think the night and promotion needed was a BREAK! The night had no new ideas, no new promotions and even though we were still bringing in the hottest stars and had a lot of free giveaways from some great companies nothing that blew my skirt up was going on.

I do believe everything happens for a reason but I think the hiatus and the club has had will make everything 110% better when things finally get off the ground! I have received so much support from people in the porn industry about getting Cocktails with the Stars back up and running again, I can't wait for opening night!!!

The romance with the 20 year old boy is officially over. I guess I shoudn't call him a 'boy,' nothing about him was 'boy' like *wink*! The main problem was that we got intimate way too fast and then trying to reverse that and make dates instead of sex all the time was too difficult for him to comprehend, I think the thought that I was not interested in him. It makes me sad that it ended but then again I think it is for the best - the boy is a dominant top and two dominant tops don't get a long well in a relationship. In the future I cannot allow myself to get involved with someone so much like me! Does that sound bad or awful? I hope not, I'm just being honest and most of all realistic on what kind of person will inevitablly make me happy! Relationships are alwasy 50/50 and I don't think the fault of our crumble was either his or more, sometimes he thought I was uninterested and sometimes I was unsure but 85 percent of me wanted to get to know the kid and see what made him tick!

Yesterday my day was pretty damn full, usually my days are spent at home and working from my computer, instead I was able to spend four solid hours with my father having breakfast, fixing the refrigerator, shopping at Costco and having heart to heart conversations. After I spent a few hours with my friend Leslie who is set to give birth to her baby girl Sophia in two weeks - EEEHHH!!

After I got dressed and met up with my friend Johnny Hazzard in West Hollywood for some dinner at St. Felix. Over the past year Hazzard and I have become pretty good freinds and so have our dogs. I enjoy talking to him because he is a good listener, a wise man and a genuinely good person at heart. We had a great dinner and then strolled over to a local ice creamery that serves shakes and sundaes. The name escapes me but involves a MILLION choices of Shakes. If I had the time I would love to sit down and do the math and see if they actually do have a million different options for shakes - could I sue for lying or false advertising?

Joseph picked me up afterwards and we drove up to Hollywood Blvd. to attend the 944 Magazine/MTV Music Awards official party at the Kress Building! The building used to be the old Fredericks of Hollywood store but this looked nothing like the old store.

The Kress building is a four story building that used to be a department store during the olden days of Hollywood, appraently there was a Kress Department store in Long Beach too - FYI! Now the building hosts an awesome restuarant and three floors of night club action! While the hosted bar and celebs were on the rooftop we were forced to party on the third floor until Joseph and his friend got the sacred wristbands that would get us up on the rooftop so we could hang out with Perez Hilton, The Kardashians and some other rappers who I had no idea who they were. I felt priveleged to go becuase I thought I could meet a lot of new contacts so I could begin writing for 944 again and meet other professionals in the magazine industry - except the party was so big that didn't happen.

The party was fun but way too much testosterone and the gays were too obvious to spot out. How come in Hollywood all the gays are so fucking typical and you can point them out amongst a crowd of a hundred people? Do you know what I'm saying? I wish I could have taken a picture of some of the gays that I saw...
Anyway, the picture you see is Joseph and Hannah at the party. Hannah and I got along pretty well, her story is the same as mine - minus the single and alone part *wink*! She graduated from UCLA and is now a freelance writer but feels as if she is stuck in LA because there are virtually no chances to get ahead for aspiring journalists. She was a diva and if I didn't know any better I would have thought she was some big time writer for Cosmo or something. Her personality reminded me alot of my coworker Leslie at Beckham Grill so I liked that too! I got Hannah's information so we can keep in touch and I will - funny how two people can connect so quickly, and the funniest part about her was that she made this funny comment when we were alone about how she 'digs' gay guys. I wasn't sure what meant by 'dig' but the vibe that I receievd was that she falls in love with them and then they come out to her later... I think. I will definitly ask and clarify!

Joseph and I went over to pick up his friend John and then headed to the gay bars once again to grab some drinks and party a bit more. I didn't last too long because I was way too tired to say any longer, the only option was for me to go home - I knew the next day I would have to deal with my boss(es) and the gym so it was in my best interest to leave the day behind and the great memories with some great friends!

Ciao, Ciao!!

THE QUEEN OF POP IS COMING

While my body is looking forward to Madonna's new tour kicking off extremely soon, my pocket book is dreading it.
Via Perez Hilton it was announced that she will be touring in support of her latest album "HARD CANDY." It won't be a Summer tour for Los Angeles, instead it will take place on November 6, 2008 at Dodger Stadium. I expect the tickets to be in the $250 - $400 range but I am sure the show will be well worth it - GOD PLEASE DON'T PLAY THE GUITAR THIS TIME AROUND!!!

TOLD YOU SO

I don't want to say I told you so but "i told you so!" As I recall when Heather Mills first entered the Dancing With The Stars competition last season America loved her and saw her as a beautiful (one legged) dancing queen! From early on I was on to her, I remember her early claims that Paul McCartney (according to Trailerparkbarbie) forced Mills (after her revision amputation surgery) to crawl on her hands and knees up aeroplane steps because they were not wide enough to fit her wheelchair. Oh and this was pretty insane too: "Mills asked McCartney if she could buy an antique bedpan to keep under the bed at night so she wouldn’t have to crawl to the bathroom when her prosthetic leg was not fitted. McCartney objected, saying it would be like being in “an old woman’s home.”

When I told my family of her other crazy claims hey snarled at me saying how nice she appeared and that the claims were likely just fabrications.

Now if you've been reading Perez Hilton and listening to radio outlets the world now knows how crazy Heather is! In fact this morning on The View Barbara Walters even spoke out against Mills!

This is just another one of my long lists of celebrity's that I predicted would go off the deep end! Tom Cruise was my first celebrity prediction that I knew was crazy and would not support his movie career because of my prediction. Another one I feel strongly about am awaiting his public downfall is The Fresh Price Will Smith! Yes, he's crazy too - just watch! I liked him in iRobot but other than that he's a crazy and when his private life goes public you can revert back to this blog and I will again say
"TOLD YOU SO!"
