Last night some of my coworkers and I walked down to Old Town Pasadena after work to celebrate Pranee's birthday! Pranee is easily one of the sweetest people I know, in every sense of the word! Everytime it's a special occasion at our restaurant she makes her mothers infamous spring rolls for the entire crew. Beside that she always has patience and time set aside for you if you ever need her... she needs to have kids but she doesn't want them unfortunatly!
We went to Freds Mexican Cafe after work and had a great time drinking their amazingly strong margaritas and cheap - but GREAT tacos. Every Tuesday they have these amazing tacos for two dollars... you gotta go if you're in town! I think Michael and I had three margaritas each and then he had to finish Pranee's, poor thing had to go throw up in the bathroom becuase her tiny body couldn't handle all that tequila and texas tacos (Texas Tacos consisted of BBQ pulled pork and Onion Rings).

DINNER WITH MY MOM
LAST NIGHT I HAD DINNER WITH MY MOM!
Even though it was a dream and my mom passed away four years ago, it was pretty special and significant that this was the first time she had visited my new job at Beckham Grill (in my dreams.) But she was also eating with my father... what an amazing dream to have!

WRAP UP
It's been so crazy I haven't had time to blog. I start a blog and then I delete it half way through... yah, it's been that busy! My personal life isn't that crazy but my work life is a bit out of control. Let me explain...
Work: I am still working for Beckham Grill in Pasadena but that's extremely slow right now. In the summer time people don't want to eat prime rib, steaks and heavy food that goes along with that kind of good shit! The money I make is good because the server count on any given night has been reduced but I've been taken from five and six shifts down to three shifts... sucks huh?
I am also still working for Collin O'Neal helping him distribute, market and sell his World of Men series! We just came out with SERBIA two weeks ago (which you can purchase now on www.worldofmen.com) and it's selling quite well.
I also started helping my friend Nick develop his site called www.nicyoungxxx.com - for those of you that aren't familiar, Nick was a huge porn star a few years ago but decided to do behind the scenes stuff and work for the magazine Cybersocket. Fast forward a few years later he is back to his roots and has a cool site that is slowly being developed with a lot of good content. I am contributing weekly interviews with the hottest porn stars out there asking questions you want answered!!! So far it's a lot of fun!!!
It's been incredibly hard to maintain a blog lately, not only because I have been keeping myself busy but also because I find the summer makes me perpetually exhausted - mentally! I feel as if the sun is raping me and all my energy, I don't feel the need to comb my hair or look pretty like I usually do... is that bad? I think I need to get on some uppers. I've heard of people depressed and sad in the winter time but the summer time should motivate you to get out in the sunshine and be active... this summer has shown to be the opposite for me.
I just started dating a guy who is a blast from the past. Yes, if you read my blog then you know the psychic was correct. It's funny because I've met several guys from my past in the last few months but the psychic says that the first two are not "the ones" I should be with - sorry Jay!!! Dayum, I was a bit upset that it wasn't Jay - I mean he has a boyfriend but he is such a nice guy and too cute. Last night I had to finally breakdown and tell Jay how I felt about him - over text of course. We had a day long text fest occur and then I had to finally tell him that if he was single he'd be mine... maybe in the future, ya never know! But what I do know is that his boyfriend seems totally sweet and is a cute white boy - beautiful blue eyes!
The guy I started seeing is a blast from my past, as I previously mentioned and the psychic seems to agree that he is the one that I will date for the time being. He says that another guy with the letters "J", "D" or both of those letters will come into my life and interrupt the dating/relationship I am having. I wonder if Jay's middle name has a "D" in it!!! LOL
Tomorrow is our second official date, while our first date was more of a catching up and re-getting to know each other at a local Thai restaurant in Pasadena. Wish me luck tomorrow, dating is so much of an effort!!

SMALL UPDATES
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
This blog goes out to all of my friends abroad or in different cities throughout the cuntry *wink*!
In the last week Dina, Karen and a few others have emailed me complaining that I have not contacted them - I know I've been very bad at keeping in touch! Dina, now located in Argentina, said that I've been replaced by a gay that lives in Argentina but is originally from Britain - I bet he is hot!
So my life hasn't been too crazy, primarily working on my new job at Collin O'Neal studios and part-time at the restaurant. I converted my garage into a small work station outfitted with a desk, a laptop computer and a printer. I plan to have a guy come out and install a jack in the garage so I can have a landline phone out here and hook up my printer which doubles as a fax machine... too much fun I know! I am also contemplating putting up some PG-13 posters as decoration but I want to be sensitive to my dads eyes since he does come into the garage to get some of his stuff out whenever he stops by the old house! This weekend was originally planned to be a relaxing weekend that I wanted to use to reconnect with local friends that I haven't seen in a month or so - somehow things got all fu*ked up and this weekend won't be used for that. Instead I am going to be working all weekend long so I can have enough money to buy George Michael tickets on Monday. It's funny, I have told numerous people about Mr. Michael's return to the U.S. and most people yawn at the idea. I've been a fan of his for so long and yet I've never seen him in concert before. In fact he is one of the people that I want to see in concert before I die.
I'm sure all music afficionados have their own list. Mine is:
1. Depeche Mode: Reunited with Alan Wilder's ass back in the band!
2. The Smiths
3. Elton John
4. Cher
5. George Michael
6. Dolly Parton
I'm sure I have more but I can't think right now, stay tuned, maybe I will add more -I know you are dying to know who I want to see, LOL!Speaking of concerts, on the Today show this morning New Kids on the Block made their triumphant return to TV showing off their pretty faces to America. Okay, how good did they look? Growing up I can remember hanging out with Cindy and Julie in middle school (Annunciation Catholic School) obsessing over NKOTB, Paula Abdul, Depeche Mode and Arsenio Hall. Well we didn't obsess over Arsenio but we used to pretend we were on the show and Julie would be the audience... random thoughts! I remember our folders were filled with NKOTB pictures. Thinking back it's pretty amazing that i wasn't teased about liking the band. Going to a Catholic school for 8 years was a sheltered experience in a way. I essentially grew up with the same kids for 8 years and we all were stuck in one classroom for the entire day. No one called anyone else: gay, faggot or any other destructive names. Oh, wait, Pearla came to the school in 6th grade and we were pretty mean to her... again side note! Anyway, NKOTB is so exciting to me, seeing them on the TODAY show was pretty special too. I hope their new album is good, but let's face it, the odds are against them. The only thing left to figure out is if anyone will go to the concert with me!
I think Danny Wood is sooo freakin' hot as an adult... yummy!!!
Okay time to sign off... wow, what a random blog posting... sorry!!!

RUNNING WITH SCISSORS
I've been so busy the last few days with working both jobs I've totally neglected my blog. It means so much that people MySpace me and ask me how come I haven't updated my blog... WOW, people actually read my cyberspace input!
The last few weeks have been crazy to say the least. Working two jobs have both good and bad sides. The good: a whole hell of a lot of extra cash. The bad: my dog pretty much hates me!
Monday at work I came out to an employee at my job Beckham Grill. Marcy, also known as the psychic one, looked me up on MySpace and while my profile is set to private she still saw my sexual orientation as being gay. At first she dismissed it as the profile not being me but then later on in the evening she just straight out asked me if I was gay or not. Of course I said yes... I have a policy that if anyone asks me I will tell them without hesitation. I explained to her how I am a reluctant to just tell people that I am gay especially at restaurants because I would rather the employees get to know me for being Scott first and not "Scott the Gay Guy" - which I will probably end up anyway, but I feel that if the str8 guys and the back of the house gets to know who you first they will be a a little more tolerant when they find out that you're a homo - LOL!
Since I've been working my second job I have been missing all of my favorite night time television shows like Heroes and Kid Nation. I am going to try and catch up this weekend... that's a goal of mine!
I have also been trying to plan my birthday party which is a few weeks away! 2-9 here I come and this year instead of having a big night time party I have chosen to do a Sunday brunch at Saddle Ranch Chop House on Sunset Boulevard. Have you ever been before? They have some good food, the mechanical bull and $10 bottomless mimosas to boot!
So far 17 (or so) people have RSVP'd for it and I am honestly hoping to have only 30 people, at the most! Anything more than that gets very overwhelming and confusing. Now if 50 people come I'd feel truly blessed but I don't think that's going to happen... we'll see!
Finally, I have started to prep for the second annual WeHo XXX Awards which will be happening at the beginning of February. Stay tuned for more info on that! Okay I gotta run...

DREAMS
Last night I had a dream... No really, I had a dream about the restaurant I work at -this is the second night in a row I have had a dream about Beckham Grill. When I used to work at Mimi's Cafe and we had a nightmare about waiting tables there we'd call them Mimi-Mares (Mimi Nightmares - drop the night, get it?)
Last night I was at a wedding of some hot guy and he was a sorta of Journey Man/time traveler - yah, I know it's strange. He and I traveled back in time to reverse his wedding. Although he was straight I wanted him and even though I was trying to get him to marry his wife again I secretly was hoping he would take me instead! It was pretty intense, and my speech that I delivered to him was what Oscar winning soliloquies are made of! I remember he was showing me pictures of a restaurant where he once dined at and it was Beckham Grill, in the background I could see various servers that I have met in the last few days.
After the dream had ended I then was with friends and family in a pool at nighttime.
David Beckham was naked... wait I just made a connection David Beckham, Beckham Grill. I wonder if that is a coincidence or my brain actually put them together for my dream? Come to think of it I think the time traveler was David Beckham... hmm, I just woke up five minutes ago so I will have to think about that one as the day progresses.
The dream after that gets too involved but also in my dream was all my cousins, my mom, and Brandon Baker had just returned from Germany. Ahh, I am going to miss seeing Brandon Baker everyday when I leave Cybersocket. I have mentioned him before in my blog but Brandon is one of the nicest people I have probably ever met. Okay, I am getting sad, so I will stop.
Today I am going to go watch TJ and Andy play softball at Whittier Narrows Field - I like going and taking JJ with me, it gives us both a chance to get out in the beautiful sun and have some fun!
I hope you too make it a fan day!
STAY TUNED...

STUDY HABITS: PART TWO
This morning I woke up and watched my Saturday morning TV shows that consist of That's So Raven, Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zach and Cody on ABC 7! I watch these shows virtually every Saturday morning, even though msot of the time they are repeats - ugh! After getting putting myself together (and shaving my head) I drove to Starbucks to study the Beckham menu for about an hour. Ordering my Triple Upside Down Grande Soy Caramel Machiato, I parked my ass in the hard chairs that Starbucks offers to sit in to focus on food - good food! The only thing wrong - besides the chairs - was my Triple Upside Down Grande Soy Caramel Machiato, was not Upside Down!!! Well, I don't think it was. The guy didn't write my order on the side of the cup for one, he almost forgot that it was soy and on my receipt it said nothing about being "upside down." Tony, my brothers best friend said that if I ask for it upside down I wont get all that foam but when I checked my drink out there was plenty of foam. Next time I go to Starbucks I am going to ask for a Extra Hot Triple Upside Down Grande Soy Caramel Machiato and if I don't get it the way I asked I will send it back... paying almost $5 for coffee is not cheap so you should get it the way you want it. Right?
I accomplished a lot at Starbucks and even got a chance to people watch - I love that part of being in a coffee house, it's so much! Tonight I work at 4:30 and if I get off early enough I am headed to Peter and Lonnie's house for a Halloween/Birthday party for Lonnie - I can't wait and I hope I can make it! I love seeing Robert, Peter and their friends - they know really nice people so I hope I am not too tired to drive down to LBC to hangout! Speaking of Halloween I really want to be the Wicked Witch, but the costumes I shopped around for are really expensive. One of my co-workers at Cybersocket said it is cheap to be a witch. Get a black dress and there you go - that's not the way I see it! In my eyes if you're going to do something, go all out and make it look perfect! To the NINES baby, to the NINES!!! A website called BuyCostume.com had a witch costume but it was $90 just for the dress, so maybe next year I will fulfill my dream of being a witch.
Another person I have wanted to dress up as for MANY years is Boy George. This costume too would be very taxing - both on my wallet and my time in terms of getting everything together. I want to have that old school Boy George look with the braids, the hate and the glam makeup - EVERYTHING! I love that man to no end, well the old Boy George at least. I am a bit weary on the new BG! I think the problem is that America views him as a freak because he is out of the media spotlight and the only time the media reports on him is if he does something weird or wrong. BG is Ari Gold's good friend, but I have still yet to meet him (Boy George that is) and I am not sure I would ever want to meet the present day Boy George - although I did love him in Taboo when I saw it in NYC!
Okay I gotta take off, have a great Saturday!
Stay tuned...

MY FIRST TIME....
Thanks for the emails asking me how my first night back in the restaurant business was – I really appreciate those who check my blog out everyday and either comment, email or call to let me know they are reading!
Last night I drove straight from Cybersocket to Beckham Grill. Actually I had to drive home to grab my Social Security card and then back to Beckham Grill – major waste of gas! I arrived at 5:45 to the restaurant and instantly was introduced to my trainer Lorraine.
I have to admit that it was a bit peculiar being on the receiving end of being trained. At Mimi’s CafĂ© I trained new workers for six or seven years and am currently training my replacement at Cybersocket, so to be trained and know that I am not a PRO at what I am doing is pretty humbling.
Lorraine was sweet and so was another server named Rachel. Actually I was a bit taken back by Rachel’s forwardness. After barely introducing herself to me, she looked at me and said “So what is your story?” Yah, just like that!
I told her the truth – well except that I work for a gay magazine that specializes in porn ads. Instead I told her that I work for a web directory magazine, I didn’t lie, I just didn’t give her the entire focus of our magazine! =)
She told me that she was attending USC and wants to get her Masters… Honestly I wasn’t fully paying attention to her. My main priority was to memorize as much of the menu as I could, however I was polite with her and told her that my good friend Leslie works at County USC – so I was friendly.
I also met a few other people who were also extremely nice – including the managers!
Yesterday before I left to the new job I was speaking with my gym buddy Kenny about my hesitations and how I will give the restaurant a few months to grow on me. (Is that a negative comment?) Something interesting that Kenny told me was that I didn’t have to give it a few months that I would know pretty much right away and as much as I hate to admit it – he was right! I felt a good chemistry there and besides having to memorize a lot of the menu items I think I will like there.
Yah, I am not good at memorizing things. I am more of a experience person… If I look at food and menu items enough I will memorize the stuff but I am not a textbook guy who can memorize things quickly, maybe it is time to change my study habits!
Anyway, I was on the floor from 5:45 until 8:30 following Lorraine around and observing her. As far as the customer service goes I rock, but what I do need to work on is the small stuff – that will get you every time!
I finished off the night with trying two different salads – the Stilton and the Spinach Salad. Plus the fried artichoke hearts, peppercorn steak, Julian veggies, some potatoes that were stacked like cornbread… I will find out what they were tonight, and creamed spinach. Of course all this was free and the manager said that every night that I train I will need to have another new food item to get familiar with the menu – that shouldn’t be a problem as long as it’s not fish – BLAH!
Tonight I want to try their famous Raspberry Cobbler… yum, I am getting hungry already!!!
Stay tuned…

MY NEW JOB
I have been so incredibly busy this week I have not had a chance to update my blog. I am so sorry to my friends who depend on this to know what is going on in my private life, you know I don't hold back much!
So I did get a job at a restaurant since my last posting! =) Saturday I went in to The Beckham Grill in Pasadena and interviewed with two different managers before getting the job! The restaurant is pretty well-to-do and the menu is the same! Pasadena old (and new) money is known to go to the establishment that has been around since 1978 - my year of birth! The menu isn't exactly Mimi's Cafe cheap. Two people should expect to pay anywhere from $35 to $40 a person... yah and if you want wine tack on more money bub!
It has been very strange making the transfer from editor to waiter but this is what i wanted so i have to be okay with it! For the next three weeks it will be very hectic working two jobs but it will be extra money and who doesn't like that? What I won't appreciate about being a waiter again is the following!
*I have to shave
*I have to wear a uniform
*I have to work nights
*I have to work weekends
The positives about working at Beckham Grill are the following:
*I get my weekdays free!
*Hopefully Beckham's has a great employee meal program
*I will save money on gas by not driving to and from Hollywood everyday, five days a week!
*I will be on track with what I want to do with the rest of my life
So there are good and bad reasons associated with leaving Cybersocket - we all must go through changes in life... it's inevitable!
Talk soon. Stay tuned...
