TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Patience is truly a virtue and I full acknowledge that it's a virtue I don't have!

Having to wait for a special gift that won't be arriving for six to seven months is a tad sad and frustrating but I guess when you think about it constantly time always goes by even slower.

I remember boiling Easter eggs with my mom and she would tell me not to keep eyeing them. If i did they would only take that much longer.

VIVA COBRA STARSHIP

HAHAHAHA - I love when semi-unpopular bands that no one has heard of except for me and a few other people make it big!!!
I told a few people about Cobra Starship and they laughed that this band would go anywhere, now look at them!!!

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY THEIR NEW ALBUM ON iTunes!!!

WWYD

I am sorry that I haven't uttered a word about last weekend yet, trust me I am getting around to it. But first, if you live in Los Angeles and experience the hail, heavy thunder storm and almost unbearable rain then please keep reading. Actually, if you've ever experienced that kind of shit keep reading, I want your opinion!

Today it was bad rain - filled with, well I told you! I was in a hurry to get back from work and the gym because if you know my dog he hates any kind of water, so I couldn't imagine him dealing with the hail and thunder. The roads and freeways were congested and icky so minutes seemed like hours. Pulling around to my street I was excited to see my roommate was home. Who knows how long he was home for but it didn't matter because JJ was in the house, warm and safe.

I walked into the house and didn't see JJ in my room, in the living room or in my brothers room - NO WHERE. I opened the back door and called out his name and he came out from under the house and running in the house - dirty paws and al!

WTF he didn't let him in!!!! WHY WOULDN'T YOU LET HIM IN? I AM SO FRIGGIN' FRUSTRATED RIGHT NOW THAT I JUST SHOOK MY HEAD AND CLEANED UP THE DIRTY PAW PRINTS ON THE KITCHEN FLOOR AND HAD TO BLOG THIS!

Would you let me dog in if you were my roomie? UGH... so careless!!!

THEY FOUND A CURE

The Cure are back and both of their new songs are surprisingly good!!! No one is more ecstatic than I am after their letdown of an album a few years ago entitled "Bloodflowers."

Their first two singles released today on iTunes are called THE ONLY ONE and NY TRIP. The songs sound like they were taken off of some of their great albums like Wish or Wild Mood Swings. These two songs make me want to go see them at the Hollywood Bowl next month - the only problem is getting my hands on some good, cheap lawn seats from a scalper/ticket agency!

Anyone want to go? Check out one of their new songs below "The Only One," it's the better of the two new songs!

MEOW

I've never been a fan of cats. My dad has a cat with his new wife and even though I mildly play with it, my motto with cats is the same as it is for wild animals: you can't trust them.

On Saturday my dog JJ was outside barking up a frenzy. When I walked out in the backyard to see what cat or object he was barking at all I heard was a frantic cat meowing extremely loud. I could hear the panicked cat but I couldn't see it, I was almost afraid that JJ severely injured the cat - something he wouldn't normally do. Next I realized that the cat was next door at a house that no one lives in, when I went next door to the neighbors backyard I found an extremely young cat all alone in a pile of leaves, scared and looking for help. The cat was obviously afraid of me but I knew that i picked it up it wouldn't attack me because it was so young - two weeks old I guesstimate, Angela says it could have been a month old.

I eventually ended up turning the cat over to the Monrovia Police Department so they could care for the cat and make sure that it was healthy enough. The following pictures make the cat look cute but believe me it wasn't so cute... poor thing, bless its heart!

FYI

Incase you walk into The Body Shoppe or any store in its likeness and you're looking for a loofa make sure you clarify what kind. Yesterday I was looking for a loofa and when I asked for one the lady questioned me back "Would you like a face loofa or a body loofa?" WTF... yes folks there is a difference, above you see what is called a face loofa! Be advised they are trying to trick us into spending more money - BASTARDS~!

SOUR AND SWEET

If you want to see Madonna this time around prepare to dig deep - WAY DEEP! Tickets for her upcoming tour start at $95 and top at at $350!! While this is not too unusual for Madonna it wouldn't kill her to at least take an opening act along with her. Maybe she will do that this time around - GOD I HOPE SO!!!

MODE IN THE STUDIO

After much silence it was FINALLY announced that Depeche Mode are indeed back in studio working on another brilliant albums. If you're not a fan of Depeche Mode they're last album was nothing more than ingenious!!! Playing the Angel was a solid album that made it a pleasure to see them in concert - even if I was on my death bed, bleeding out EVERY end of my body, almost dying of Pancreatitis. I hope that this album will be more electro-pop and less Exciter-esque, know what I mean? I only hope Wilder rejoins the group... HAHAHA I WISH!!!

THE QUEEN OF POP IS COMING

While my body is looking forward to Madonna's new tour kicking off extremely soon, my pocket book is dreading it.
Via Perez Hilton it was announced that she will be touring in support of her latest album "HARD CANDY." It won't be a Summer tour for Los Angeles, instead it will take place on November 6, 2008 at Dodger Stadium. I expect the tickets to be in the $250 - $400 range but I am sure the show will be well worth it - GOD PLEASE DON'T PLAY THE GUITAR THIS TIME AROUND!!!

YOUR MORNIN' FUNNIES

If you like to wake up in the morning with a grin on your face and have 14 minutes to watch Cheryl Underwood and Margaret Cho acting a fool on television than watch these two clips below. I recently saw these on TV and was crying tears of joy listening to these two crazy women gab about sex, politics and Asian chicken salads - ENJOY!!

THE QUEEN BEE

I am so proud of my girl ADELE and all the success and not to mention attention she is receiving in the States.

The other night when I was sipping Sprites *wink* at The Abbey her new single and dance remix debuted on the dancer floor.
Yup, "Cold Shoulder" is a great song that is a sure fire hit on both iTunes and the dance floor! Check it out below, what ya think???

PAYING IT IN NICKELS

Some people call it karma others call it 'Paying it Forward.' Whatever you choose to call it I label it 'Pure Generosity!' Last night I decided to go out and grab some chicken at El Pollo Loco on a whim and ran inside with only my gym shorts on (I had a shirt and socks on too.) The cashier gave me the total of $10.05, however all I had was $20 on me. There doesn't seem like a problem there, that I know. The cashier asked me if I had five cents so she could give me back only dollars instead of $9.95 - got it? Behind me a young lady spoke up and interjected 'How much do you need?' She stepped beside me and fished through her coin purse for 5 cents! I was perplexed on how sweet this girl was saw a need and gave me 5 cents - she paid it forward in my opinion. Amazing to me... reminder to all of you out there, remember to pay it forward. Tip: Insert some extra coins in parking meters randomly, I do this quite often, and it has become a fun and simple way to pay it forward!

5 DAYS

Anyone who has lost a parent knows that MOTHERS DAY and FATHERS DAY are not easy holidays. This posting is for anyone who can associate with my feelings!

THE WONDER YEARS

THE ABOVE YOUTUBE CLIP HAS BE ONE OF THE BEST OPENING THEME SONGS OF ALL TIME, I REGRET NEVER GETTING INTO THE TELEVISION SHOW, DID ANYONE WATCH IT? THE FOLLOWING ARE ALSO SOME OF MY FAVORITE THEME SONGS - NOT TV SHOWS !! WHAT ARE YOURS? HOWEVER ON A SEPARATE NOTE, LISTENING AND WATCHING SOME OF TEHSE BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES, THEY REMIND ME OF SIMPLER TIMES WHEN... WELL I THINK WE ALL CAN REMEMBER SIMPLER TIMES!

HERE LOUNGES HUNK

Probably one of the most beautiful men in West Hollywood, to me Pablo is the total package of charming, handsome and sweet as candy!!!

THREE OF A KIND

Did you ever watch Sex and the City, The Golden Girls or Friends and envy the bond that those bitches had? Even if it was a friendship made up by a roundtable of Hollywood writers, those of us who do not have a solid group of friends like Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda know what I am talking about.

Last night Joseph and I went to West Hollywood and met up with my friends Mando, Eddie and Carlos. I've known these guys for so many years and since I've befriended them they have always been a solid group of buds - The Three Stooges - HA!
I wish I had a picture of these guys, however I promise next time we hang out I will snap a picture of these handsome guys that are bonded at the hip! Oh, PS, they brought their friend Sam and Brandy. I can describe Brandy in one word: DIVA!!!

We also saw Jackie Beat and CChico's Angels perform which were both flawless acts. Beat was as snappy as ever making jokes about the whites, Mexican's and any other ethnicity that got in her way. As for Chico's Angels, just like Beyonce was/is the star of Destiny's Child, Que Sadilla is the clear standout star in that 3-way act! Sorry to jump around but Jackie used to write for my old publication Cybersocket and if you have time, her columns are worth the read and funny as all hell. I remember looking forward to reading what she had to say for our magazine. Immediately after I finished reading her beloved shit I would forward them to everyone in the office so they could also get a chuckle off of the story.

OH BIG BROTHER!!

CHI CHI IS A BITCH AND I HAVE THE PICTURES TO PROVE IT...
DAMN, I'M JEALOUS. After reading her blog - and a few others, I had to email her to explain why I love BB more than she does *grin*!!!

The one below is my favorite photo... how cute they (Chelsia, Sharon, Joshuah and Chi Chi) all look!

The picture below is not my favorite. Prefacing the picture with I love Jason Sechrest, I am not quite sure why he wears makeup - HE SO DOESN'T NEED IT. I mean, c'mon he is better looking without it and I only think makeup goes well on drag queens and people who are trying to cover up their track marks, black eyes or tired, drugged out raccoon eyes! Jason, take it off... you're not needing this eye liner and mascara, you are already a knockout.

LOOK BIGGER AND BETTER

I heart underwear and if you've ever seen my drawer filled with my diddies you also know I am not lying!

I recently bought a new pair of Calvin Klein's that are probably one of the most fabulous and comfortable undies I have ever slipped on. Accentuating your hips, ass and c**k, this underwear features a discreet pouch that you slip your jewels into that makes them look bigger than what they actually are - and I don't care who you are, every guy wants to make what they already have look bigger!

Check them out above and if you want to buy a pair log onto the following site: www.cku.com
I believe they are called the Hip Brief... trust me, you'll find them!!

FREE FOR THE TAKING

If you've been into a Starbucks in the past year then you've probably seen the cards you see above on the counter space where you pay for your daily cup of joe.

Every week I try to snatch up the FREE music/video of a relatively unknown artist to discover new music. Why not? It's free, easy to redeem and fun to (sorta) discover a new musical talent.

When I walked into Starbucks this morning they had one of my current favorite artists singing one of my current favorite songs. ADELE, singing the well-wishing song "Chasing Pavements," is a gleeful song that is beautifully strong and well executed - I love raspy voices like ADELE! At first Perez loved her and then dissed her - I still like her. If you can, swing into your local Starbucks and pick up this free song by ADELE as well as Carly Simon's new track "So Many People To Love."

CAN YOU TOP THIS?

i enjoy watching Brothers and Sisters on ABC every Sunday for numerous reasons, the main being because the family is so normal and the plot lines aren't too outlandish. Agreed?

Last night was a pretty heavy night, filled with rich dialogue and some serious acting abilities! Gearing up for mothers day Rebecca comes clean and gives a lot of guilt to her mother ending in an extremely sad pre-Mothers Day fight.

However the best part of the television show was the marriage plot line that no one saw coming.... I can't explain it, just watch it below!!

BAD BOYS, BAD BOYS

My friend at work was supposed to see the big De La Hoya fight last night - keyword SUPPOSED!

Apparently she bought tickets that were later declared fraud. The man she bought them from had stolen a credit card and then purchased the tickets with the card. After the tickets were printed online he duplicated them and sold them to numerous people - one being my coworker. Sucks Huh?

The funny part of the story was when she called the guy and pretended to be a patron inquiring about buying some tickets to the same event. Clearly elated that the guy wanted to sell her more tickets, unknowing that he was going to get caught, Suzin called the cops and told them her situation and that she had set up a sting.

The cops told her that they don't create stings with civilians... OF COURSE! Is this even funny, or was it just funny to Sally and I? Poor Suzin....

STRIKE A POSE

Yesterday I attended a benefit party for the gay softball league of Los Angeles. The event was called Switch Hitters, a huge annual event that gets the players dressed up in dresses, dancing to familiar pop songs. On a side note I even spotted one of the guys I am currently crushing on donning a dress, singing a Paula Abdul track from the early 90s. Funny, a few years ago I would never of even thought of liking someone who even playfully dressed in drag, now that I am almost 30 I think much differently... thankfully lol!!!

One of the other numbers was a reenactment of Madonna's famous Vogue routine on the MTV Music Awards over 15 years ago (1990, I believe). Instead of trying to duplicate the act they decided to dress up as victorian cholas utilizing the fans that Madonna used and a lot of the same choreography... pretty ingenious and playful.

The routine reminded me of a friend who is 22 years old and just discovered the brilliancy of Madonna and her work of art. He was notoriously YouTubing almost every song and video she had ever come out with. Usually someone discovering someone like Madonna year too late would frustrate me but I actually thought it was quite impressive that someone who is 22 years old would even think Madonna is/was a trendsetter, it seems like over time people tend to write off and dismiss the accomplishments of artists and pioneers like Madonna. I mentioned to my friend that when Madonna performed Vogue on the MTV Music Awards was a breakthrough performance that shocked and wowed audiences - I personally remember watching it LIVE and was blown away.

My friend didn't understand it and thought it was only mediocre. I never inquired but I suppose he thought the kiss between Britney and Madonna was better... not sure what he thought but Vogue was just thought - an expression and move that will forever be remembered.

NIGHT AT NORDSTROMS

The sad fact of my life is that nothing of tremendous, real importance has happened in the past week or so. And as sad as that sounds, it all ended tonight when I last minute, instinctually agreed to accompany my aunt out to dinner at a local Mexican restaurant that used to be a favorite eatery of my moms.

My Aunt Marsha is a diva in every sense of the word. She loves to have expensive things and the truth is that she worked for all the great shit she wears, drives and lives in so AMEN to her spoiling herself! Aunt Marsha and I are also alike in every sense too: we are both strong willed, stubborn, and inhabit a larger than life personality. These qualities have caused us (in the past) to clash and not mildly not get along, nothing too major but little spats here and there.

Our dinner was fun and gossip filled - of course. After she asked if I wanted to tag along with her to Nordstrom's at the Santa Anita Mall. Seeing Auntie Marsha shop is quite exquisite and an art form all on its own. Anyone that has met my Aunt Marsha knows that she is wildly crazy - with a capital K! The older she gets the funnier she is and the more I get her - to digress for one minute last month she told Rich and I about how in her younger years, 10 years ago, she hosted a party for work at her house and that she got so intoxicated she pushed a coworkers wife in the hot tub. Memory doesn't serve me correctly if she did it on purpose or not but I think she did it because - well because she was drunk and it seemed funny at the time.

So when we arrive to Nordie's the first thing I see is the line above. There were hundreds of people waiting in line to get inside the store at 7:30 p.m. I initially didn't know what the line could be for, AM (Auntie Marsha) briefly told me there was some kind of exclusive sale going on but I wasn't quite prepared to see almost 500 people waiting at one entrance to shop.

AM explained that only the shoppers who spend a certain amount of money in the area are invited to take advantage of this event - plus, get this, it's not even a sale. It is more like getting points on a credit card that are good for discounts later on.
Tonight for every dollar you spent you racked up ten points, so in other words if you spent 300 dollars on an item you'd receive 3,000 points

Walking up to the store I saw this eccentric 20-something lady clutching onto her friends as if she was ready to fall over from the smell of a potential sale. She ecstatically blurted out as she grabbed her friends arms even tighter "I love you girls, thank you for coming with me!" As if the bitch was having a major surgery, she needed friends there to guide her, but in retrospect to my own experiences shopping, when you're contemplating buying $300 shoes, the more friends around you the better!

AM and I walked into Nordstrom and was greeted with men in suits - this is my kind of event - and men in tuxedos holding flutes of champagne for us. I have to admit for Nordies in Arcadia it was a bit over the top but I swear that I didn't feel like I was in Arcadia, instead I felt like a shopper in the heart of Beverly Hills.

I have to give it to my AM she is incredibly organized. Once inside we grabbed our champagne and walked over to the cosmetic department to pick up some stuff she pre-ordered for her friend and herself, from the looks of the bag the stuff she bought wasn't cheap and with the merchandise she got free gifts: a purse, free trail makeup, travel makeup etc... FUN, I wish I was a girl sometimes *wink*~! After we went over to the purse department where she gawked over this fabulous purse for about 30 minutes but decided not to get it, then she went to look for clothes for her husband, my new uncle, and then look for something for me. While she does like to buy me clothes when we go out I am a bit reluctant to accept, I cruised what was moderately priced so I could accept her offer, usually I always decline, but still stay reasonable in price.

After we went upstairs and tasted three to four kinds of different chocolate candies - YUMM - and then bought more stuff for her - she was a shopping machine!!! Before leaving she bought me this really cute pair of black argyle pattern slip-on shoes.
Overall the Norides had a lot of gays in it and some of the sales associates were cute too - YUMM.

Over the top? Yes! Frivolous? Maybe a little. Did I have a butt load of fun? Most definitely!!!

THANKS AUNTIE MARSHA!
